The Phlebotomist is able to handle all areas of processes and procedures while maintaining a friendly and customer service approach with patients. Accurately and efficiently reports critical results and monitors incoming results from reference labs and logs/communicates results to providers via the Electronic Medical Record. Job Duties/ Responsibilities:Draws blood competently, consistently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible. Identifies the patient using the two-unique identifiers described in the hospital’s policy before services are provided. Records phlebotomy requisitions on log.
