The Research Data Coordinator supports the Urology and Genitourinary (GU) Center at MD Anderson's Cancer Center by managing and maintaining high-quality clinical research data focused on kidney cancer and other urologic malignancies. The Research Data Coordinator works closely with oncology faculty, fellows, residents, and information technology liaisons to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant data entry and database upkeep in support of clinical trials and research initiatives. Oncology faculty see patients with urologic malignancies including bladder cancer, renal cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, penile cancer, urethral cancer, and Paget's mammary carcinoma involving urologic structures, with services delivered across inpatient and outpatient settings within the GU Center. The ideal candidate is familiar with clinical research data entry and follow-up activities and has working knowledge of research databases. Experience with informed consent processes and sponsor databases is beneficial. Salary range is Minimum $50,500.00 – Midpoint $63,000.00 – Maximum $75,500.00 Why Us? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintain a well-organized kidney cancer patient data repository with prompt entry and continuous upkeep of clinical information for all new and existing patients. Facilitate and respond to data and information requests from faculty, fellows, and residents. Perform data entry for patient protocol visits in sponsor databases for assigned clinical trials. Support ancillary research tasks such as image uploads and specimen submissions. Meet with auditors and monitors during monitoring visits and ensure timely data entry and query resolution. Serve as backup to other Research Data Coordinators during absences to maintain continuity of data operations. Collaborate with faculty, fellows, residents, and information technology liaisons to support database maintenance and functionality. Obtain informed consent from patients for minimally invasive data and specimen collection studies. Participate proactively in protocol meetings and research coordination activities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Research Nurse Manager Education Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Education Preferred:: Bachelor's degree Experience Experience Required: Four years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required. Experience Preferred: Two years of experience as a Research Data Coordinator (RDC) with a focus on clinical trial data management and data entry.
