Community Health Services - Epic Support (Functional Analyst II)

The position performs analytical work supporting Epic clinical applications and workflows across multiple Public Health clinical programs, including Primary Care, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Pathways, School-Based Health, Street Medicine, Refugee Health, and Dental. The Functional Analyst II independently supports onboarding and Epic training for clinical staff; analyzes and implements new Epic updates; and evaluates, maintains, and optimizes workflows to support clinical documentation and operational needs. The role conducts regular chart reviews and audits, and uses reports and data to identify trends, inform improvements, and support program objectives. Additional Functional Analyst II responsibilities include providing analytical and operational support for dental imaging systems, dental operatory functionality, and optimization of dental workflows. The majority of this work is performed on-site and in person, working directly with clinical sites and staff. The position collaborates closely with King County Information Technology (KCIT), hardware and software vendors, and the Public Health Epic Support Team to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and ensure effective system functionality. To learn more, please visit Job Duties Perform Electronic Health Record (EHR) application support including problem analysis and resolution on the phone, in person and via email Work with administrative and clinic staff on EHR workflows and best practice development, both remotely and onsite at various clinics Perform training and development of training materials such as job aids. Perform and/or assist in new application implementation, functionality, upgrades and enhancements Perform testing of monthly changes, new functionality and build changes in Epic Perform system administration including security, new user requests and module-specific master-file maintenance. Other duties as assigned Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Required:Knowledge of ambulatory healthcare, clinical systems documentation and electronic health record. Experience using Epic EHR Dental Epic Wisdom and Imaging device integration. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and prioritize customer reported issues and recognize critical issues. Demonstrated commitment to customer service. This includes the demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, being responsive to requests and concerns using the Equity and Social Justice and Trauma Informed lens. Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills, problem solving, quality improvement and assurance. Ability to gather information and make recommendations to decision makers. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to a wide range of individuals including customers at various levels and to explain technical concepts in non-technical language. Demonstrated skill at working collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to take initiative to complete necessary tasks or improvements and meet deadlines and accountability for producing timely, high quality work product. Willingness to work outside of normal work hours providing support that is needed for our and other customer support needs. Ability to travel between work sites in a timely manner. Desired:Experience training safety-net providers. Experience working with interfaces, software applications and printers or in an IT support capacity.
