The Light Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing light industrial equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role performs routine preventive maintenance, responds to maintenance requests, and supports continuous improvement efforts while complying with all safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on light industrial machinery, equipment, and tools. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic issues. Repair or replace worn or defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facility systems to identify potential issues. Maintain basic facility systems such as lighting, doors, HVAC components, and compressed air systems. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in maintenance logs or CMMS - Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner. Follow OSHA, safety, and company policies at all times. Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and upgrades as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. Required Qualifications. High school diploma or GED required 1–3 years of experience in an industrial or light industrial maintenance environment. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting principles. Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work instructions. Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills for documentation and work order systems. Preferred Qualifications. Technical certificate, vocational training, or associate degree in maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field.
