JOB SUMMARYUT Southwestern is seeking a skilled and dependable Building Maintenance Specialist (BMS), 3rd Shift (Nights) to support facility operations at Clements University Hospital. In this overnight role, you will respond to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building system issues, including critical patient care systems such as nurse call and pneumatic tube systems, helping ensure a safe and efficient healthcare environment. The BMS performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, completes inspections, installs equipment, and maintains accurate documentation. This position includes a rotating weekend shift serving as the primary responder for hospital-wide calls, along with weekday coverage for assigned areas. We are looking for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills, multi-trade experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. JOB DUTIES - Performs plumbing, electrical, welding, mechanical, housekeeping, carpentry, and painting repairs according to service requests for specifically assigned specialties. Inspects plumbing, electrical, mechanical housekeeping, etc. in assigned buildings as scheduled by work order from Management. Maintains records and documents of work completed.
