The Electrical System Engineer will design and review high voltage and extra high voltage substation systems, focusing on HVDC and HVAC engineering. This role involves primary design, equipment specification, technical reviews and coordination with stakeholders to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables for EPC projects. Relevant Experience :5 to 10 years. Experience in Substation Primary Design. Experience in High Voltage and Extra High Voltage System Design. Experience handling Electrical EPC projects. Experience in AutoCAD or Inventor tools. Must Have Technical/ Functional Skills. Engineering experience in EHV or HV AC substations including AIS and GIS systems. Hands-on experience with substation primary design and technical reviews. Experience with retrofit design for brownfield substations. Knowledge of EHV or HV equipment such as power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, isolators, CCVT, CT and PT - Experience in high voltage cable specification and sizing. Experience in design calculations and specification of auxiliary components such as DG, UPS, auxiliary transformers, DC systems, power and control cables. Knowledge of MV and LV auxiliary distribution systems. Strong communication skills. Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments and coordinate with stakeholders. Experience with SLD schemes, station layout, control building layout, earthing, lighting, cable trench, tray and pull box designs. Understanding of detailed engineering phase activities and deliverables. Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA and other international standards. Understanding of high voltage substation arrangements and grid codes. Experience in FAT and site commissioning. Knowledge of building management systems including HVAC, fire protection, security and CCTV systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Roles & Responsibilities :Prepare design inputs for primary design and technical reviews. Coordinate and conduct design validation with customers. Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment. Develop technical deliverables for customer proposals. Prepare routing and cableway details. Perform vendor evaluation, approvals and FAT - Prepare single line diagrams, layouts, assembly and section views for substations and switchyards. Perform sizing calculations for AC and DC station services. Coordinate with teams and stakeholders for project execution. Support vendor and customer queries and design modifications. Provide design inputs to EPC contractors. Act as single point of contact for customers and EPC contractors. Travel for site visits and customer meetings. Best Regards Girish
