Responsible for operational improvements and removal of waste in manufacturing and business processes across all value streams in the operation including Supply Chain, Molding, Machining, Assembly, and Shipping. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Facilitate Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) activities to aid in the improvement of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and overall performance of the Operations. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Value Stream Managers to assess and prioritize continuous improvement actions. Facilitate training and development in Lean techniques. Analyze job assignments, determine estimated time to complete each assignment and measure performance using timelines and objective data. Maintain detailed knowledge of conventional and NC/ CNC manufacturing equipment, manufacturing technologies, time standards techniques, cost quoting and work in these areas as required. Conduct studies, perform capital research, serve on special teams and provide support for Global Sourcing, Manufacturing, Value Streams, Engineering, or other initiatives as required. Assist in the development of a safe working environment through the use of occupational safety and health standards including ergonomic principles. Facilitate the performance management process for all direct reports including technical effectiveness and career development opportunities. Improve employee engagement while driving performance accountability with direct reports through the utilization of situational leadership. Provide a work environment which adheres to all compliance and regulatory guidelines. Perform other job duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS - Required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field or equivalent experience. Experience with Lean fundamentals, or similar CI methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience in manufacturing, or process-driven environments. Familiarity with ERP/ MES systems. Project management experience.
