Key Areas of Responsibility. Functions:Analyze, develop, and implement solutions for complex business and system opportunities. Exhibit excellent communication all levels of employees, and clients. Maintain existing and develop new programs to meet business requirements. Leads projects or tasks as required and develops project plans and manages those plans. Elicit, prepare, and/or approve requirements documents, specification documents, and database definitions. Study, analyze, and define the impact of the user’s business needs on the system components and its interfaces to provide maximum benefits from each system. Provide operational support of application during regular hours and/or during on-call rotation. Train, coach, mentor and assist other personnel in all phases of the standard system development methodology, life cycle, and concepts for design, programming, backup, and recovery. Ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures and tollgates. Develop documentation regarding the end use of the application and the technical support of the application. Conduct training sessions as required. Knowledge of Supply Chain business process concepts and techniques, software applications and tools. Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects of varying priorities. A self starter with a strong desire and capability to learn new software and systems. Basic Qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Business or related field, or appropriate technical training and/or equivalent job experience. Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in RPG/ ILE systems development. Career concentration on business application development, maintenance and support. Proficient in using structured systems development methods, techniques, and tools. Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: i. Series (AS/400), RPG III/ IV/ ILE, CL, SDA, RLU, PDM, Query, SQL, DDS, DB 2, OS/400 Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products including PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
