Department: Cybersecurity / IT Role Overview We are seeking a technical and proactive Cybersecurity Intern to support our internal security assessment initiatives and integrated IT operations. This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities within our product suite using automated security tooling and assisting with the maintenance of a secure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on learner comfortable with Dev. Sec. Ops principles and eager to support the foundational IT tasks that keep an organization running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Product Security Assessments: Perform internal technical security assessments on various products. Utilize and manage SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) tools to identify code-level and runtime vulnerabilities. Analyze tool outputs and assist in triaging findings for development teams. Dev. Sec. Ops & Cloud Governance: Support Dev. Sec. Ops activities by integrating security checks into existing workflows. Assist in "cleaning" and optimizing our Azure environment, ensuring compliance with security best practices and removing unused or insecure resources. IT & Systems Support: Handle various small-scale IT tasks to support the broader IT department. Assist with hardware/software troubleshooting and internal technical documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Tooling: Familiarity with SAST/ DAST methodologies and tools (e.g., Sonar. Qube, Checkmarx, Snyk, Burp Suite, or OWASP ZAP). Cloud Awareness:Basic understanding of Azure services and cloud security configurations. Problem Solving: Ability to interpret technical scan results and provide actionable summaries. Versatility: Comfortable pivoting between high-level security assessments and essential IT support tasks. Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Preferred Qualities A strong interest in automation and the "Security as Code" mindset. Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) to assist in environment cleanup. Effective communication skills for explaining technical risks to stakeholders.
