Assistant Coach, Men's and Women's Swimming?Xavier University Athletics seeks an Assistant Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Swimming program. Xavier Athletics sponsors 19 varsity sports with more than 330 student athletes and competes as a proud member of the BIG EAST Conference. The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swim Coach shall provide leadership and guidance necessary for a positive, competitive environment and has a demonstrated record of success in NCAA Division I program(s) or other relevant sport related programs. Responsible for assisting Head Coach in all facets of the program. This can include but not limited to budgetary items, equipment, scheduling, team travel, promotion of the team and University, fundraising and alumni events, practice planning, equipment planning/purchase/inventory, and professional development etc. with respect to BIG EAST and NCAA rules. Regularly meets with support personnel to assure eligibility and well-being of the student athletes. Must have firm knowledge of, and comply with, all rules and regulations associated with the NCAA, Conference, Xavier University and Xavier University’s Athletic Department. The Assistant Coach assists in the mentoring of the student athlete to foster athletic, academic, emotional and social growth; assists in practice planning and skill development, assists with team travel; assists with purchasing/inventory of equipment, coordinates visiting team requests, coordinates with athletic department and other university personnel as needed, compiles and maintains statistical information, supervises student managers if applicable, coordinates team community service, represents Head Coach at intercollegiate athletics, alumni and University events when required, assists with fundraising, available for media requests and performs other duties as assigned by Head Coach. Required Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's Degree required 1 - 3 years experience
