Performs various Cardiology procedures – Echocardiograms, TEE, Holters, Stress echo, as well other relevant related tasks and procedures. Must work well within a multidisciplinary team and perform other delegated tasks in accordance with departmental policies and needs. Must be able to take call and report to the hospital within 30 minutes. Work schedules and on-call to include week day, week-ends, evenings, nights, and holidays. This team member must be flexible to shift changes at hospital and outpatient settings. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent;Registered RDCS/ RCS or equivalent or combination of education, training and experience to obtain RDCS/ RCS or equivalent in echocardiography. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Experience with medical office scheduling. Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work under stressful situations. Must be able to take call and report to the hospital within 30 minutes. Preferred Qualifications:Preferred 1 year adult/pediatric echocardiography with Doppler and Color Flow experience. Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise. Physical Effort required: Constant (67%-100%) – hearing, seeing. Frequently (34%-66%) - lifting, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, reaching, handling/feeling, talking. Occasionally (1%-33%) – pushing/pulling, carrying, stooping, crouching, crawling.
