- The Manager of Construction Operations supports the Director in driving operational consistency, cost discipline, vendor performance, and process efficiency across Burlington’s construction portfolio. This role plays a key part in executing the national accounts strategy, contributing to project budget reviews, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver quality, speed, and value across new stores, remodels, and capital projects. The Manager also helps standardize workflows, uphold construction best practices, and monitor vendor and budget performance in support of Burlington’s strategic growth objectives. This role will require you to be in office 1 x per month. - - A Day In The Life - - - - Vendor & National Accounts Coordination - - Lead execution of the national accounts program across HVAC, lighting, flooring, fixtures, and other key spend categories. Partner with approved vendors to drive consistency in quality, service, pricing, and delivery. Track vendor performance against KPIs; support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure project teams follow preferred vendor guidelines and national account compliance expectations. - - Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency - - Identify opportunities to improve construction operations through workflow alignment, standardized documentation, and lean practices. Maintain and enhance tools, templates, and best practices to support consistent execution across projects. Drive adoption of process improvements across Construction, Procurement, Facilities, and Store Planning - - Cross-Functional Collaboration - - Partner with Construction, Procurement, Facilities, Store Planning, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on vendor usage, materials, operational standards, and budget expectations. Ensure project teams receive accurate, timely information and support for operational requirements. Champion adherence to Burlington’s national accounts, cost standards, and process guidelines. - - Project Cost & Budget Support - - Review project budgets, cost assumptions, and GC bids to support cost accuracy and visibility. Develop and maintain unit cost benchmarks and standardized estimating tools. Monitor budget performance and flag anomalies, trends, or risks to project leadership. Lead contributions to project closeout reviews to improve future cost forecasting and accuracy. - - You'll Come With - - Bachelor’s degree preferred (construction, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field) 5–7 years of experience in construction operations, project coordination, estimating support, or construction sourcing. PMP Certification a plus Experience working with vendors, contractors, or national account programs. Exposure to project budgeting, cost analysis, or construction financial review processes.
