The Opportunity:You will exercise independence in developing, planning, and leading IREACH’s research engagement and outreach activities focused on urban and rural American Indian and Alaska Native populations (AI/ AN), locally in Washington state, regionally in the Pacific Northwest, and nationally. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing, outreach, and engagement strategy. Additionally, you will provide direction to Research Coordinators, Faculty, and IREACH staff, in implementing outreach strategy, and engage in strategic planning with tribal and urban clinics and community organizations in Washington State to determine further the intersection of community health and academic research efforts between IREACH and Native communities. You will seek consultation from project Principal Investigators (P - Is), faculty leads, and senior research coordination staff, but will generally exercise independent judgment in day-to-day decision-making and project oversight. The position will include travel to practices and communities throughout Washington State, conducting outreach, and implementing research projects that crosscut topics, methods, and scope. This position will provide research support to project investigators, oversee the implementation of research protocols, manage project timelines, as well as coordinate other research tasks. Independently manages the IREACH Community Partner Contact List and provides oversight of research staff contributions to the IREACH Research Registry. - This position is a 1-year appointment. Renewal is on an annual basis, contingent on available funding.
