The Occupational Therapy Aide is responsible for assisting the OT or COTA with providing therapy services that are planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Occupational Therapist in accordance with the patient s treatment plan. This Aide position supports Occupational Therapists who specialize in assistive technology services. Responsibilities include assisting with the setup, organization and management of assistive technology as well as participating in service delivery. Experience with Windows, iOS, Android and mac. OS is beneficial. Strong organizational skills are essential for managing equipment and completing tasks efficiently. Position Requirements: Licensure/ Certification/ Registrations: Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association is required. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience:TBI and SCI experience preferred. Skills Abilities: Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to build effective clinical leadership. Ability to conduct themselves in a diplomatic and tactful manner with professionals and non-professionals at all levels. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and adapt to a changing environment with competence. Possess a dedication to teamwork and commitment to excellence. Must have basic computer skills. Essential Functions: Assist with applying the occupational therapy treatment plan as developed and instructed by the Occupational Therapist. Prepare patients and equipment for therapy and follow through with equipment processes and procedures as instructed. Communicate daily with the OT and COT - As regarding issues relating to their interaction with the patients. Maintain treatment equipment and supplies in clean and proper working condition for the purpose of implementing motor/therapy goals. Perform clerical, administrative and secretarial duties such as answering phones, restocking and ordering supplies and completing paperwork as instructed. Prepare and maintain work area, materials, and equipment, and maintain an inventory of treatment and educational supplies - -
