The Center for Academic Success (Cf. AS) Department is currently seeking a Temporary Tutor to join their team of professionals. Duties include: Conducts individual, small group, and/or online tutoring sessions. Reviews classroom or curricula topics and assignments. Assists students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks. Works with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom. Provides students positive and constructive feedback. Participate in tutor training sessions/meetings. Support projects appropriate to the department functions. Job Category. Temporary. Minimum Qualifications. High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in subject areas. Proficiency in the subject-areas to be tutored. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments. Ability to relate with students from varying education, cultural, and social backgrounds.
