The role is responsible for managing and overseeing the department's early intervention strategies, including the implementation, tracking, and planning of the Milestones initiative and monitoring the effectiveness of career readiness interventions. Key responsibilities include leading critical initiatives such as HB 1261 and the Panther Career Ready Micro-Credential and guiding transitions of our services to become integrated components of the academic experience. In addition, the position ensures that technology is aligned with strategic goals, optimizing workflows and systems to support these initiatives effectively. The role requires continuous evaluation and enhancement of tools and processes to foster student success and career readiness. Supports Career and Talent Development (CTD) and FIU leadership in developing and delivering innovative career readiness initiatives and events. Manage and coordinate department career readiness resources and programming integrating digital tools to support student development. Coordinates access and training of digital platforms and resources. Leads and coordinates development of programming and events promoting tools and technology available to students in their career preparation. Develop and direct initiatives related to career development, manage integration and expansion of digital tools and career readiness events, networking events, and more. Manage career readiness, milestones and preparation programs including, career readiness courses and Micro-Credentials. Facilitate presentation sessions and outreach to promote the importance of career readiness to all audiences. Manages and coordinates reporting and budgeting as related to our digital platforms and programming. Provides individual and group consultations to students and alumni to support their career development journey. Supervises Career Development and Integrated Partnerships team full time and student positions. Develop and support professional development of direct reports, staff and affiliates across units. Represents FIU Career and Talent Development at different conferences and programming throughout the community. Attends internal and external training sessions, meetings, events, and conferences as deemed necessary to fulfill job duties and support function. Minimum Qualifications. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.
