Leading, performing and monitoring assigned survey work. Mentoring and instructing survey crew in survey and mapping methods, use of equipment, and safety procedures. Checking all survey data collected including calculations and measurements for completeness and accuracy Conduct user onboarding, training sessions, both scheduled and as needed. Assist with surveying and construction staking which will include fieldwork and travel. Qualifications: You have 5 years of land surveying experience. You have unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) experience or have an interest in obtaining an FAA Part 107 certification and learning how to provide UAV services. You have effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project managers, coworkers, and project team members. You have problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables. You have acceptable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices. You have initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule. You are dependable, with the ability to work in a team environment. You are dependable, with the ability to work independently. You have a clean driving record. You have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You have a willingness and ability to travel (occasionally overnight stays up to a week will be required). Performance Metrics: Survey Crew Chief will be evaluated on the following key performance areas during their first year: 1. Technical Contribution and Quality: Applies established standards, procedures, and guidance to technical work. Seeks guidance on complex or unfamiliar technical issues as appropriate. 2. Project Support and Coordination: Supports project execution by completing assigned technical tasks within defined scope and schedule. Coordinates with project managers and team members to support project objectives. Identifies technical questions, constraints, or potential issues and communicates them to project leadership. Supports implementation of scope changes and problem-solving efforts as directed. 3. Safety, Compliance, and Professional Standards: Follows established safety procedures and reinforces safe work practices. Performs work in compliance with applicable regulations, professional standards, and company policies. Identifies and communicates safety or compliance concerns to appropriate personnel.
