The Department of Management, Marketing and Business Law of the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics of Indiana University South Bend invites application for a full-time lecturer position starting August 1, 2026. The teaching load is equivalent to 12 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate coursework each semester (fall and spring). The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in career development, introduction to business, HR, OB, and other management courses as needed. Teaching at the graduate level may involve teaching Communication and/or Leadership. The selected candidate must be prepared to teach face-to-face and online courses, as needed by the department. Some courses taught may be offered in the evenings, off-site, and/or online. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. Lecturers are expected to participate in service activities to the department, school, campus, or community, such as regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees. This position does not carry any expectations for a research program or publications. All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as of the position start date. Basic Qualifications Required Qualifications A master’s degree in business administration, human resource management, management, or a closely related business discipline from an AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited institution. A master’s degree in industrial-organizational psychology from an accredited institution may also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate effective post-secondary teaching experience. In exceptional cases, candidates with sustained professional engagement (e.g., consulting practice, executive leadership, industry certifications, professional licensure, or comparable applied experience) and professional training experience may be considered. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications Experience in supporting curriculum development, experiential learning, and program development in the area of management. Proven ability to coordinate multiple sections of management courses, ensuring consistency in content delivery and learning outcomes. Proven ability to promote the management and HR major, fostering student interest and emphasizing its relevance in the business world. Active engagement with the academic and professional community. Demonstrated experience in mentoring and advising students, including guiding involvement in extracurricular activities, such as student clubs.
