We currently have an opportunity for a Family-Law Paralegal with a growing law firm in the River Edge, NJ. area ((Zip Code 07661). The Family Law Paralegal will provide support to 1-2 attorneys. Prior experience supporting attorneys with family law cases in a law firm environment is required for this role. Family Law Paralegal Benefits: Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision) 401 K with match Generous PTO Family Law Paralegal Position responsibilities will include: Document preparation, including briefs, pleadings, interrogatories, subpoenas, affidavits, and letters, as well as legal correspondence E filing as well as maintaining and updating electronic and hard copy files Assist attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, coordinating client meetings, filing motions, and coordinating witnesses. Serve as a liaison between clients, opposing counsel, and court staff, including responding to client inquiries throughout the case Manage attorney calendars as well as scheduling for client meetings and court appearances Deliver or direct the delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties involved in legal actions. Meet yearly billing requirements (400 hours if assigned to one attorney, 495 hours if assigned to two).
