The English Program at Colorado Mesa University invites applications for a Visiting Instructor of English. Candidates are expected to teach the department’s current offerings in first-year composition, introduction to literature, and mythology. The ideal candidate will have pedagogical experience teaching first-year writing and lower-division literature courses that support students' development of college-level reading and writing skills. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester; some assigned courses may be taught on-line, hybrid, or via distance delivery modalities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. Job responsibilities include the following, with other duties potentially assigned:Teach first year writing courses, primarily ENGL 1111 and 112. - Teach other courses as assigned.
