You will play a pivotal role in re-architecting our platform from the ground up, focusing on enhancing the scalability and efficiency of our systems. Responsibilities. Oversee high-level and low-level designs of one or more sub-systems of the billing platform we are building. Be responsible and accountable for the quality, reliability, usability, and performance of the solutions Provide strategic guidance and oversight for multiple billing teams, ensuring alignment with the Platform’s technical vision and business objectives Lead the design and development of complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and meet high-quality standards. This includes evaluating code quality and collaborating with stakeholders to understand and implement project requirements. Identify and prioritize technical challenges that may pose risks to business. Develop solutions to address these issues efficiently, ensuring smooth product development. Work closely with various departments, including product management and design, to ensure cohesive and successful project delivery. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to achieve common goals Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Provide technical guidance to help team members overcome challenges and make informed decisions Who you are We are looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Minimum Requirements 8 years of professional, hands-on software development experience. Strong experience in architecting and designing large-scale, complex systems. Proficient coding skills in Java, Kotlin, Golang, or similar languages, capable of producing high-performance, production-quality code Experience with a wide range of technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or their equivalents. Proficient in using cloud computing tools throughout the software development lifecycle, with deep expertise in DevOps, observability, telemetry, and test automation. Skilled in collaborating across engineering teams and other functions to build alignment, drive decision-making, and communicate transparently Preferred Qualifications. Experience in the financial technology sector, with a focus on billing, payments, subscription management, and financial reporting. Proven track record in designing and implementing workflow engines Education.
