Prepares and stocks media for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) lab procedures and operating room procedures. Prepares culture dishes for egg retrievals, insemination, embryo culture, and embryo transfer procedures; retrieves oocytes, prepares sperm, performs insemination, cultures embryos, performs micromanipulation procedures for assisted fertilization, hatching, and biopsy and loads catheter for embryo transfer. Freezes supernumerary embryos, thaws embryos; selects and prepares embryos for transfer. Keeps patient records and data. Job Responsibility Prepares culture media; performs daily QC procedures. Maintains IVF equipment including incubators, isolates, microscopes, CO 2 tanks, and liquid nitrogen tanks; collects and processes eggs. Prepares sperm for standard insemination and Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). Prepares Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspirates (MESA) and Testicular biopsy Specimen Extraction (TESE) for ICSI. Prepares eggs for insemination and ICSI. Performs insemination and ICSI. Performs embryo biopsy. Selects and prepares embryos for transfer; freezes and thaws embryos. Evaluates accuracy and technical quality of laboratory tests. Performs related duties as required.
