1. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records .. Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals .. Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs .. Refers providers’ calls and medical questions to Pharmacist .. Participates in orientation and assigned training program to attain competency in pharmacy technician duties .. Stays abreast of basic knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations and standards, pharmacy informatics and technology including medication dispensing systems, and pharmacy calculations .. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. CORE QUALIFICATIONS - Education:High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license. Experience:No previous experience required. Certification and Licensing:Vaild State of Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required. Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements.
