Cumulus Media - Indianapolis seeks a highly motivated and qualified applicant to fill the unique position of Vehicle Transporter/ Driver. This position is responsible for vehicle delivery and returning vehicles to Cumulus Media locations and remote broadcast locations. Primarily, this position moves our large truck/trailer that is up to 33’ in length and a gross vehicle weight of 20,700 lbs. This is an on-call/part-time truck driving position that is perfect for licensed drivers seeking supplemental income and looking to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours a week based on business needs. This position requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications. Key Responsibilities:Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving to destinations of remote broadcast locations or Cumulus Media locations. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to manager if any issues are found. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications:2 years of driving experience required. A clean DMV motor vehicle record required. An Indiana for Hire Endorsement license required or obtained. CDL drivers preferred but not required. The ability to read and follow written instructions is required. The ability to work independently with organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific locations required, and submit to a background check. The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear trailer/cargo area.
