Serve as the primary HR partner to retail leaders, providing hands-on guidance on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns. Lead complex employee investigations end-to-end, partnering directly with Legal and ensuring fair, timely, and compliant resolution. Ensure strict adherence to California employment laws and support multi-state compliance, including wage and hour, timekeeping, meal and rest periods, and related labor requirements. Advise leaders in union-impacted environments, supporting grievance administration, contract interpretation, and issue prevention in alignment with labor regulations. Oversee workers' compensation matters in partnership with safety and operations team. . . The Successful Applicant. A successful HR Manager should have:Brings 7 years of HR management experience within premium retail or a closely related hospitality/restaurant environment. Possesses deep, hands-on knowledge of California employment law, with additional multi-state exposure preferred. Highly compliance-driven, with strong expertise in wage and hour regulations, timekeeping practices, and risk mitigation. Experience working in union environments, including grievance handling and contract interpretation. Proven ability to lead complex employee investigations end-to-end, partnering directly with Legal and owning the full process. Strong background supporting large hourly workforces in fast-paced, demanding retail settings. Experienced withworkers' compensation and partnering with operations and safety teams.
