Identity & Access Management (IAM) is part of the Cyber Risk & Assurance (CR&A) organization, securing Takeda’s patients, assets and intellectual property leveraging modern Cyber security tools, principles, and standards. Specifically, the Security Authentication Services team is composed of two sub-teams: Authentication and Cryptography. The teams are responsible for managing the lifecycle of modern Single-Sign On and Multi-Factor solutions as well as certificate management as part of the cryptography team for both internal and external customers. The Identity and Access Management Intern will support the Security Authentication Services team with the growing demands of secure digital identity and access controls across our enterprise. How You Will Contribute: As an Identity and Access Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to: Provide critical support in maintaining and enhancing IAM systems such as Public Key Infrastructure, Single-Sign On through Entra ID, and passcode-based authentication, while also contributing to ongoing initiatives around compliance, user provisioning, and access governance Support onboarding/offboarding applications, workflows, and entitlement reviews Help document IAM processes and contribute to automation efforts Internship Development Opportunities: Assist in analyzing access patterns and identifying anomalies Gain hands-on experience with enterprise-grade IAM tools and frameworks Gain exposure to other Identity and Access Management teams such as: Directory Services, Identity Management, Identity Access Services, and Privileged Access Management Job Requirements: This position will be Hybrid out of the Cambridge, MA office Must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in one of the following; Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or Security, Computer Networks and Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Cryptography, and Information Security. Technical and/or qualitative skills desired Strong problem-solving skills and deriving to alternate solutions Familiarity with basic programming principles regardless of coding language Ability to work in a team environment or individually Strong desire to understand complex concepts in authentication and/or cryptography Self-Starter and resourceful to tackle various challenges Internship Eligibility Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st) The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.
