Our client, a global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, is seeking a Regional Director for a direct hire role based in Atlanta, GA. Your Impact This position makes an impact by planning, overseeing, and developing work with significant impact on the organization's mission and goals; manages a medium size staff and revenue goals of at least ($5 million). Works with significant latitude to solve complex problems and make strategically important decisions impacting the region. Incumbents at this level develop and oversee strategies, programs, projects, initiatives, and events that advance the organization’s mission and advocacy efforts. Working with significant latitude and autonomy, this position is responsible for outreach and engagement with high- level stakeholders, building coalitions and partnerships, and serving as a subject-matter expert and advisor. This position is accountable for expanding the scope and impact of initiatives, developing program support and resources, and representing the organization in a variety of public forums. Your Role Lead the development and execution of the region's strategy, goals, objectives, and action plans Develop, oversee, and facilitate advocacy and outreach programs, projects, initiatives, events, meetings, trainings, and/or missions Collaborate with and manage the work of Boards, committees, task forces, or working groups Manage and mentor team staff Identify, research, cultivate, engage, solicit, and steward existing donors and new prospects Leverage resources to help build awareness of and support for the organization and department initiatives Lead financial development efforts, including fundraising initiatives, donor outreach, meeting fundraising goals, and related activities Oversee and maintain accurate financial records and budgets Create reports and analyze department activities, metrics, and impact Serve as consultant, strategic advisor, and subject-matter expert to internal and external stakeholders Supervise and conduct research, monitor, and report on developments, issues, and trends impacting the department and the organization’s priorities Direct the department's administrative functions Develop relationships with and engage high-level strategic contacts, groups, and organizations Represent the organization and the department in the community, at functions, in the media, and in other public forums Identify, recruit, and develop leadership talent Collaborate on efforts to expand and enhance the regional presence through marketing and communications strategy Draft, edit, and disseminate communications resources and materials Specific to This Role Supervise and build strategies for the organization’s expansion outside of Atlanta to include young adult and teen engagement and programs in Charlotte and other potential cities in the Southeast. Ability to travel 10-15% of the time outside of the immediate location Serve as regional spokesperson for the organization in the Southeast to media, elected officials, community leaders and religious leaders Collaborate closely with the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. Serve as subject matter expert and leader on Black/ Jewish relations initiative. Supervise and grow southeast expansion strategies to include teen engagement and young professional programs. Supervisory Role Medium office/team of 4-7 Education, Training, and Experience Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) Minimum of 10 years of experience, proficient to advanced job skills and knowledge, and proficient leadership skills Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Passion for the mission, goals, and objectives of the organization Committed to core values: respect, accountability, integrity, innovation, and collaboration Fundraising experience Demonstrates professionalism and high standards of conduct Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) Strong organization and project management skills, including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines Capacity to multitask and work in a fast-paced and changing environment Demonstrates financial literacy and the ability to contribute to the fiscal health of the organization Willing and able to work outside of standard working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom Ability to direct, motivate, and develop individuals and/or teams The salary for this position is $155,000 to $180,000 depending on relevant experience and location.
