The DCM Operations Intern will participate in an on-site curriculum designed to teach and review the core components of warehouse and print production operations. The program emphasizes absolute safety, quality, and continuous improvement while providing exposure to people operations, program management, and performance management. The intern will learn and help develop the human, technological, logistical, and material resources required to support an efficient, high-performing operation. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, analytical, and comfortable problem-solving in a fast-moving environment. Throughout the program, the intern will engage in hands-on rotations, shadow leaders, complete structured training, and contribute to projects that support operational excellence. Job Duties Complete the full DCM Operations Internship Program, including all training modules, rotations, assignments, and manager sign-offs. Review warehouse operations process flows, WMS functionality, SOPs, and daily operational methods that support customer service levels. Participate in on-floor training and shadowing across Receiving, Pick Mod, Packing, Shipping, Print Production (BSG), and Facilities. Conduct time trials and assist in evaluating best methods to improve productivity and service delivery. Learn to make recommendations for management control systems that support financial planning and cost analysis. Assist in identifying measures to increase productivity, benchmark performance, and support forecasting. Support quality control procedures aimed at reducing cost of poor quality and improving accuracy. Perform basic analysis of manufacturing and print production processes. Provide recommendations for workspace and equipment layout using return-on-investment considerations. Participate in leadership shadow days with Senior Managers to understand communication cadence, reporting, culture, and team building. Complete required program deliverables including weekly questionnaires, recap sessions, a final essay, final presentation, and a Capstone Project focused on People, Programs, or Performance. Qualifications & Skills Required Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Management, or Industrial Engineering. Eligible to receive academic credit for the program. Experience with or interest in time studies, process analysis, and continuous improvement. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Creative thinker with an interest in operational problem solving. Effective decision-making and communication skills. Able to work collaboratively with team members and leadership.
