The Chemist supports manufacturing operations by performing routine analytical and wet chemistry testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, consistency, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The Chemist will operate analytical instrumentation, perform titrations and other wet chemistry analyses, and document results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a production-driven environment, and flexibility to support rotating shifts. Key Responsibilities Perform analytical testing to support chemical manufacturing processes, including in-process and final product testing Conduct wet chemistry analyses, including acid/base titrations, moisture/water content, and sulphate analysis Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, IR, and UV-Vis Prepare solvents, reagents, and standard solutions for laboratory testing Support batch processing and manufacturing operations through timely sample analysis Record, calculate, and report results accurately in compliance with GDP standards Utilize LIMS (transitioning to Lab. Ware) and SAP systems for data entry and reporting. Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment Required Skills & Qualifications Experience with: HPLC, GC, Wet Chemistry Techniques Moisture/ Water Content Analysis, Acid/ Base Titration Familiarity with LIMS and SAP systems Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Ability to follow detailed written instructions and maintain accurate records Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and standing for extended periods Education & Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field Alternative: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing or QC laboratory Work Schedule Rotating 8-hour shifts (after training): 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Monday–Friday schedule Work Environment Chemical manufacturing and QC laboratory setting.
