Assist with the behind the scenes needs of the Growing Good CGR program. The Logistical Support assistant will assist with weekly purchasing, material gathering, and snack and supply preparation as directed by the Growing Good CGR Coordinator. This behind the scenes support contributes to the success of garden education programs with collaborating partners across the Metro. Responsibilities Establish a regular routine for purchasing and material preparation in consultation with the Children’s Garden in Residence Coordinator. Organize and execute weekly online orders for needed supplies. Organize and execute weekly retail shopping for program materials and supplies to include driving to pickup online orders. Prepare materials for the teaching instruction team to use in programs for the week. Prepare and package ingredients for the nutrition component of the CGR program. Organize receipts and justification for purchase requisition. Communicate positively and appropriately with partner leaders/adults/volunteers. Set-up, clean-up and preparation of materials as directed. Other duties as assigned Work Schedule: 28 hours total. Summer Work schedule: 8 weeks, 6/15/26-8/7/26; 16 hours/week; Monday-Thursday, 8 am-12 pm. Pay: $18/hr Qualifications Required Qualifications. Ability to Drive: Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and safe driving record a must. Mileage reimbursement provided according to UMN rules. Ability to lift / carry up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with online ordering (groceries, Amazon)Ability to plan and execute efficient shopping trips to multiple locations to insure materials are available at the required time. Strong communication skills - ability to ask clarifying questions, check in to troubleshoot if needed materials are not available, etc. Strong organizational skills - ability to make and use lists, organize materials, follow instructions, meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision. Successful completion of background check. Preferred Qualifications. Prior experience with purchasing, materials preparation, and delivery for a program or project. Safe food handling experience/certification (serve-safe certification). Prior experience with the UMN Arboretum Growing Good program. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $18.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
