Among the key duties of the position are the following: Collects field samples and performs laboratory evaluations of Peach and Nectarine fruit samples from the Peach Variety Evaluation project. Assists with the evaluation of grape fruits chemistry in the laboratory during harvest. Certifications/ Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic chemistry and knowledge of laboratory equipment. Strong writing skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with processing fruit samples. Equipment Utilized Titrator meter, Refractometer, fruit firmness penetrometer. Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. of samples during the harvest season.
