Responsible for operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Must be able to maintain physical requirements of the job as dictated by federal driving guidelines. Must be able to pass warehouse simulation test. Operates semi-tractor and trailer in safe and professional manner to scheduled destinations. Meets scheduled delivery times. Performs all customer service duties at customer locations including unloading, delivering special orders; delivering pharmaceutical orders; returning of authorized merchandise to the distribution center and other duties deemed necessary by supervisory personnel. Required to fuel and hook equipment; conduct pre and post-trip inspections; monitor equipment functions and report defects to truck shop personnel. Responsible for all paperwork including but not limited too: daily logbook, load information sheet; pharmacy check-in; pre and post-trip inspection sheets. Assumes all driver responsibilities as specified in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Handbook Rules and Regulations. Reports to work as scheduled and on time.
