As an integral member of the team, you will have a high level of exposure across the division partnering closely with senior business and Risk Office leaders, Enterprise Risk Management, and other stakeholders. In your role, you will:Become a subject matter expert for Capital One’s control methodology;Establish and maintain governance and oversight for Auto’s control performance, ensuring controls are well-designed and performing as intended;Support control-related training for Risk Office associates, creating tools to support them in their success;Proactively recognize and pursue process improvement opportunities, driving efficiency and improving results;Effectively partner with Enterprise Risk Management (Second Line of Defense) for clarity to requirements and influencing outcomes. Be a change-champion for control program enhancements and changes, sponsored by either First or Second Lines of Defense;Present new initiatives and process changes to leadership, building buy-in for your recommendations. Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, products, services, and risk profile; Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends and provide insights that supports decision-making; Drive collaboration between the Risk and other business support functions; Ensure independent escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and concerns to management;Identify opportunities to improve risk management practices and develop solutions to perfect risk management, eliminate waste, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification. At least 4 years of experience in project, process, program, or risk management Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree, MBA, or Juris Doctorate 2 years of experience in presenting to executive leadership 4 years of people management experience 5 years of experience in project, process, program, or risk management 2 years of exposure to audit & exam engagements.
