Job Title. Alternative Payments Collections Associate. About the Role. You will be responsible for the collection, via systemic dialing, of unpaid consumer debt in a call center environment. You will be collecting, on accounts in compliance with applicable regulations and internal performance standards to achieve a pre-set goal objective. Providing daily coverage of all accounts until payment arrangements have been made. Detailing all discussions and actions in collections system or database. Completing special projects as assigned. You will be held accountable for collection performance based on departmental assigned targets. What You Will Do:Establish rapport with customers to overcome objections and successfully negotiate payment resolutions. Handle more complex or escalated accounts, applying sound decision-making and problem-solving skills. Clearly explain account details, balances, and repayment options in a professional and compliant manner. Accurately document all conversations, actions, and outcomes in the collections system or database, including payment confirmations and call summaries. Ensure timely and successful completion of assigned accounts and daily objectives. Identify issues requiring follow-up or escalation and clearly detail next steps for resolution. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations while meeting performance expectations. What you will need to have:High school graduate/ GEDMinimum of 1-year collections and/or customer service experience. Prior experience working in a call center. What would be great to have:Commercial Collections (B 2 B) experience. Knowledge of applicable regulations. Demonstrated skip tracing skills and ability. How you’ll work:This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity. Hours are 8 am - 5 pm (3 days a week) and 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm (2 days a week). Sponsorship:You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
