Competencies - Responsible for developing, reviewing and evaluating administrative and court programs to enhance the courts’ services. Directs and oversees the processing of invoices, purchase orders and billing according to contract terms and local administrative orders. Assists in administrative and operational functions accommodating needs of the judiciary, special projects, space planning, courtroom scheduling, preparing and administering budgets, coordinating fiscal management issues, as well as maintaining records. Makes recommendations for policy and procedure changes/development to include emergency plans for continued operation of the courts during a disaster or unusual circumstances. Provides direction and supervision to staff by training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, disciplining, completing employee performance evaluations, reviewing and approving timesheets and leave requests. Establishes and maintains working relationships with court personnel, elected officials, facilities, vendors, the public, and other governmental agencies throughout the circuit. Education and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business administration, public administration or a closely related field, and five years of related experience including two years of supervisory experience. A master’s degree in an area cited above may substitute for the recommended experience. Progressive responsible experience may substitute for the recommended college education on a year for year basis. Benefits - State of Florida benefits offered, including State of Florida retirement.
