Job Description The Portfolio Accounting Specialist is primarily responsible for the customer support of all portfolio related functions for approximately 150 different clients, which includes the input and processing of all purchases and sales transactions, building and verifying security builds on the system, pledging and releasing of all non-custody items for bond accounting customers, preparing spreadsheets for repo collateral pledging to fund our CT Trading Desk. Provides backup to the Portfolio Accounting Administrator and various other duties as assigned. Team Culture Our team is built on collaboration, integrity, and a shared commitment to client success. How You'll Spend Your Time You will process daily bond accounting activities, including purchases, sales, pledging, and security setup for non-custody holdings. You will maintain, update, and correct security files to ensure accurate bond accounting records. You will support customers with general ledger questions and resolve bond accounting report discrepancies or outages. You will review monthly custody activity reports to confirm trades interface correctly and securities are built properly. You will produce safekeeping statements and open position reports for internal and external audit requests. You will manage portal administration tasks and prepare Excel reports showing market values for pledged repo holdings. Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of high school and 3-5 years’ experience in an investment or safekeeping securities operations environment or 6-8 years’ equivalent work experience.
