Experience 3 years of Sterile Processing Experience. Licenses and Certifications. Must Hold 2 Certifications upon hire (Technical / Scope) and obtain one additional (Specialty / Leadership) within 12 months of hire(CRCST) CRCST with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent Upon Hire and(CER) Certified Endoscope Reprocessor with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent Upon Hire(CIS) CERTIFIED INSTRUMENT SPECIALST with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent within 1 Year or(CHL) CERTIFIED HEALTHCARE LEADER with Healthcare Processing Association (HSPA) or CBSPD equivalent within 1 Year. Preferred:Experience. Quality Assurance experience. Working with multiple service lines. Previous experience mentoring/precepting new hires. JOB DUTIES - Subject Matter expert of departmental policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile processing tasks and safety protocols. Proven ability to work in all areas within department which includes but not limited to decontamination, assembly, sterilization, case pick, and high level disinfection. Unload and prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for decontamination following departmental procedures and manufacturers instructions for use Safely handles instruments, removing damaged or malfunctioning items and reporting issues to supervisor. Select proper sterilization methods for different items, ensuring correct assembly, packaging, and preparation. Ensures and maintains accurate sterilization records, label sterilized items, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Proven ability to operate various pieces of equipment (Washer, Ultrasonic, Sterilizer)Participate in biological monitoring/testing, reporting positive results, and escalating issues to leadership. Mentor level in all competency modules (assembly, sterilization, decontamination, HLD)SECURITY AND EEO STATEMENT - Security.
