SCHEDULE 8:30 AM Start Time ?3 total shifts/month: 2 weekends,1 weekday shift. ? Should be available to commit for a total of 3-4 consecutive weeks of training including a NEO week. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION - Required. Education. High School Diploma or equivalent. Licenses and Certifications(CPRAED) CPR AED or(BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). Preferred. Experience 1 year therapy technician work experience in hospital, or outpatient rehabilitation setting preferred. JOB DUTIES - Demonstrates knowledge of relevant laws, policies and regulations and standards affecting decisions and interpretations. Demonstrates knowledge of contraindications and/or safety issues with various patient types and applies them to treatment. Develops rapport with patients and their families using approach common with that of health care team for purpose of obtaining maximum participation in activities. Transfers, transports, and positions patients. Follow written and verbal instructions. Sets up and/or removes equipment or therapy aides for therapists as instructed. Performs routine and preventative maintenance on equipment as needed. Reports any defective equipment to supervisor. Communicates patient observations, responses, interactions, and non-verbal signs to therapist. Organizes patient treatment time and unscheduled time efficiently. Assists in on-the-job training, education, and supervision of Physical Therapy Technicians, volunteers, and/or nursing staff. Performs other duties as assigned. SECURITY AND EEO STATEMENT - Security.
