You will play a critical role in advancing Newmont’s processing and project outcomes by coordinating and delivering high-quality metallurgical laboratory testwork. Your work directly supports operational improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making across our mining and processing teams. As part of our team, you will. Coordinate and execute metallurgical laboratory test programs from scope to reporting. Prepare test methods, analyze results, and deliver clear technical reports. Operate, maintain, and optimize laboratory equipment and workflows. Provide technical guidance and supervision for laboratory personnel and contractors. Support pilot testing, plant trials, and research into new reagents or processing methods. Collaborate with mining, processing, geology, and external laboratories to meet testing needs. Prerequisites for your success in this role. Degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering (postgraduate degree desirable)Strong understanding of metallurgical testwork, including sample prep, comminution, hydrometallurgy, and mineral processing. Strong data processing skillset to analyze metallurgical data, develop metallurgical balances, and testwork design. Ability to communicate technical results clearly through reports and presentations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)A safety-first mindset with knowledge of laboratory hazards and protocols. Your work environment. Laboratory-based role within a collaborative technical team in Denver, Colorado. Regular interaction with site operations, technical services, and external partners. Occasional domestic and international travel to support global processing operations.
