Adapting, accommodating, and modifying the general education curricula, pedagogy, and learning environments for students. Aligning and adapting the student\s program with the general education curriculum. Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized behavior management strategies and plans. Must prepare and implement positive behavior support plans based upon functional behavioral assessments. Using a range of curriculum guides to assist with identifying functional goals. Employ current assessment instruments and approaches, intervention methodologies, strategies, and techniques that are appropriate for students linking assessment outcomes to curriculum planning. Implement trauma informed, resilient focused strategies. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to support students. Participate in/facilitate wraparound meetings. Ability to complete records in a timely manner. Possess skills to communicate to all members of the school & community. Be able to meet the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession and the position. Philosophy in accord with Lincoln Park Public Schools. Able to work cooperatively. Ability to follow requirements of supervisors. Classroom instruction and instructional leader for meeting the needs of Special Education students. Other duties as required by Executive Director of Special Education and Building Principal.
