This is a lead generator service engineering position that involves the mechanical analysis/design of generators for purposes of executing generator negotiation and modernization orders, supporting field service activities, and resolving product issues for operating generators and exciters with a strong emphasis on data analytics. You will support the Service Modernizations Americas team, as well as the broader Generator Service Engineering organization, in tasks consisting mainly of order execution, negotiations, and service R&D. How You’ll Make an Impact. Take a leading role in the implementation of procedures and best practices for the execution of major mods & upgrades projects. Perform mechanical evaluations for Generator Stator components to verify adequate performance during operation and fault conditions. Support the design and product definition for Stator modernization projects. Contribute to team efforts to provide accurate and timely support for tendering activities for Generator Service. Design and development of new products and services and technical support of market introduction activities. Development and maintenance of quality initiatives in support of department targets and scope. What You Bring. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, and up to 2 years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of design, analysis and mathematical concepts related to mechanical engineering disciplines. Background in product design and CAD modeling, preferably NX - Self-motivated and able to lead and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
