Associate Specialist - Supply Ops

This position assists the Supply & Trading groups in managing multiple aspects of the supply chain including allocation planning, transportation/distribution strategy, site setups, and supply chain communications. The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem-solver who can analyze our current supply network and support our business intelligence and reporting efforts. In this role, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders to build and maintain dashboards that help the organization monitor key metrics and make data-driven decisions. Primary Responsibilities:Analyze supply chain trends at approximately 350 terminals and manage customer level allocations while communicating with internal stakeholders. Act as a conduit between key organizational partners in Scheduling, Pricing, Transportation, and Sales to translate business requirements into effective data visualizations. Support data preparation and validation, ensuring data accuracy before visualization. Strong Data Mining skills including Data Cleaning, Data Preparation and Data Visualization. Utilize general purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, R, etc.) to create automate processes and create visualizations for end users. Proficiency with dashboarding tools such as Streamlit, Shiny, etc. Troubleshoot dashboard issues, assist with performance tuning, and help ensure visualizations are user-friendly and reliable. Document dashboard logic, data sources, and design choices to support future enhancements and maintenance. Understand supply chain and logistics operations Requirements:Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:Bachelor’s degree (or final year) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Supply Chain or a related technical field or equivalent experience 0-2 years of experience in related field. Self-starter, motivated and proactive in setting direction and making recommendations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. The ability to prioritize work requirements within tight, concurrent deadlines. Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g. R, Python)Familiarity with data modeling concepts or ETL processes. Competence in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Highly resilient with results driven attitude. Working Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
