Supervision of administrative support staff to include training, delegation of assignments/tasks, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. Function as a liaison between regional director of mental health and medical, clinical, nursing and TDCJ staff. Monitor completion of related documentation. Report changes in information to necessary departments following treatment decisions. Assure that the Mental Health PSS staff Manage Mental Health Caseload reminders in EMR. Assure Mental Health PSS staff schedule patients for appointments. Supervise all Mental Health PSS staff as they manage all aspects of PTM, check-in, check-out, cancellations, referrals, and reporting. Monitor and supervise all Mental Health staff as they Create reminders for sick call and referral upon disposition. Responsible for accurate time clock usage according to procedure for staff and self. Champions a values based culture to promote unit effectiveness. Directs and supervises Managed Care Patient Services staff in processing of patients. Supervises scheduling of appointments, patient visits, receiving patients, and maintenance of records; supervises the coordination of other clinic services; responds to requests for patient information and maintains related information for the department. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Most work is performed according to established procedures; problems of an unusual nature are referred to supervisor. Interviews, hires, evaluates and trains new employees. Employees in this classification receive general supervision. Employees in this classification supervise Managed Care Patient Services Specialist and Managed Care Sr. Patient Services Specialist team members. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting in a correctional facility and may require a high degree of contact with patients, facility staff, and other partners. 1-2 Years TDCJ experience A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience of which two (2) years are in a supervisory role. Experience in a clinic or physician's office preferred. OR - At least three (3) years of experience at TTUHSC in the Patient Services Program, plus one (1) year of supervisory experience.
