The Airport Attendant, under the direct supervision of the Assistant Airport Manager, performs semiskilled work to include fueling, towing, and servicing aircraft; sales, concierge transactions and customer service; airport maintenance functions include performing and recording inspections of grounds, facilities and vehicles, foreign object debris (FOD) removal, mowing and snow removal. Starting hourly rate: $20.04 per hour. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED - Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Customer service experience preferred. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exceptional customer service, time management and communication skills. Skills in the use of common airport equipment such as aircraft tug, aircraft tow bars, fuel truck, stationary fueling equipment and ground power unit (GPU)Ability to learn specialized aviation terminology, procedures and practices to operate in a restricted environment involving active runways, taxiways and aprons. Ability to work safely in an airport environment.
