Directs the daily operations of the department's clinical practices. Achieves excellent quality, patient friendly and timely delivery of services consistent with department objectives and Medical College policies. Directly oversees Supervisors/ Managers at multiple locations. Performs employee performance appraisals, oversees new employee orientation and training; documents and maintains confidential records; and performs discipline. Monitors and evaluates workflow and productivity of support staff to ensure maximum efficiency. Reviews physician visit volume, evaluates session and site productivity, and ensures appropriate staffing levels. Collaborates with Finance Team in the monitoring of billing and collection performance. Identifies areas of improvement for front end operations that may impact A/ R management and net collections for the practices. Collaborates with ITS to administer technology to enhance and increase the effectiveness of clinical operations and related activities. Oversees the ongoing upgrades. Compiles daily, weekly and monthly reports for administrative and regulatory purposes. Formulates short term and long term fiscal and operational goals. Oversees and approves expenses. Prepares cost analyses and makes financial recommendations. Coordinates capital projects and renovations for the clinical practice sites. Ensures standards of care are met/in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Monitors patient satisfaction; develops initiatives to promote high level of customer service. Monitors level of quality of care and develops responsive policies and procedures. Participates in Faculty Practice Patient Care Committee and develops strategies with Physician Site Leaders to improve care. Implements new clinical services, in order to achieve state of the art care. Participates in professional development activities and maintains up to date knowledge on clinical operations best practices; attends meetings, conferences and seminars. Functions as Department Designee in the Chief Administrative Officer's absence. Represents the department and/or CAO on various internal and external committees specified by CAO. Education Bachelor's Degree Experience Approximately 8 years of administrative and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, highly organized and ability to act as a role model for staff. Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over direct reports, establish and maintain quality control standards, analyze expense and productivity reports, team build and forecast and manage change Excellent knowledge of physician practice management, human resources management, and principles and best practices in healthcare administration.
