Ally is seeking an Application Manager – AI-Enabled Applications to lead the support, governance, and continuous improvement of corporate technology applications using artificial intelligence, Generative AI, large language model (LLM) capabilities, automation, analytics, and related digital technologies. This role combines technical application leadership with people and operational management responsibilities to ensure applications are secure, stable, scalable, and aligned with business and enterprise standards. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical depth, operational discipline, and leadership experience to manage business-critical applications, drive service stability, support audit and control requirements, and help advance the responsible use of AI-enabled capabilities in enterprise environments. The Work Itself Lead the operational management, administration, support, and continuous improvement of corporate technology applications using AI tools, Gen AI capabilities, LLM-driven features, intelligent automation, analytics, and modern digital technologies. Manage teams responsible for production support, incident resolution, service stability, release coordination, tech resiliency, third party vendors, change management, and application enhancement activities. Partner with engineering, architecture, security, and business teams to implement, support, and optimize AI-enabled application capabilities in alignment with enterprise standards. Oversee issue triage, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, and ongoing service improvement for critical business applications. Establish and maintain governance practices for application security, user access, role-based permissions, data handling, logging, monitoring, and operational controls. Support lifecycle activities including upgrades, integrations, configuration, release readiness, platform modernization, and process improvement. Drive operational efficiency through automation, AI-assisted workflows, enhanced reporting, intelligent support practices, and improved knowledge access. Collaborate with compliance, risk, and audit teams to support evidence requests, maintain documentation, track remediation items, and strengthen control effectiveness. Ensure applications align with internal control, resiliency, security, and regulatory expectations. Coordinate with third-party vendors for support, maintenance, upgrades, issue resolution, and enhancement activities where vendor-managed solutions are part of the application portfolio. Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. The Skills You Bring Minimum Qualifications 7 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field(s) of study or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications. Highly preferred: 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise application management, application support, application operations, or related technology roles. Highly preferred: Experience managing or supporting enterprise applications in a production or operational environment. Highly preferred: Experience with incident management, issue resolution, and operational support processes. Highly preferred: Experience supporting enterprise applications that use or integrate AI tools, machine learning services, intelligent automation, analytics platforms, or LLM-enabled capabilities. Highly preferred: Experience with application development in Python, AWS cloud technologies, and GitLab, or similar technologies. Experience with application security, user access management, and role-based access controls. Familiarity with logging, monitoring, reporting, or observability practices used to manage enterprise applications. Experience leading teams or managing work across technical support, operations, enhancement delivery, or application governance functions. Experience working in regulated environments, preferably financial services. Knowledge of SOX, PCI, audit support, control execution, evidence management, and remediation tracking. Experience with data governance and data classification. Experience coordinating with third-party vendors for support, upgrades, maintenance, and service reviews. Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, and Microsoft Power Automate. Exposure to Claude, Claude Code, Chat. GPT, and similar AI-assisted development or productivity tools. Familiarity with APIs, integrations, automation tooling, reporting capabilities, and modern digital application platforms#LI-Hybrid
