Safely navigates ambulance to patient's location. Provides stabilization of scene and requests additional assistance as necessary. Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources. Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility. Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives from supervising Physician or Registered Nurse. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required; Two years of college Preferred; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required Required Skills: critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
