Report Development Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and clarify reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Design and implement scalable reporting solutions that meet user needs and support decision-making. Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various relational databases. Build interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, or SSRS. Validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all reporting outputs. Monitor and optimize report performance, including load times and query efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, report logic, and visualization errors. Industry Best Practices Stay informed on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in business intelligence and data visualization. Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing reporting processes and tools. Maintain thorough documentation of report specifications, data sources, logic, and development workflows. Collaborate with business users to understand their analytical needs and deliver actionable insights. Provide training and support to end-users on how to access, interpret, and utilize reports effectively. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure reporting solutions are user-friendly and impactful. Education and Experience: Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Area of Study: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Type of Experience: 5 year’s relevant experience in related field, such as sales operations, business analytics, or a related field. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in business reporting and analysis. Technical Competencies & Information Systems: - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau. Working knowledge of data warehouse platforms (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, Snowflake). Advanced proficiency with CRM and sales resource management systems (e.g., Salesforce) Demonstrated ability to create user-friendly self-service and IT-based report templates. Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
