Supports the daily reconciliation of approved home improvement loan activity, including executing and monitoring loan funding. Ensures loan funding activity is complete, accurate, and aligned between internal systems, lenders, and retailers. Monitors daily cash needs and works closely with Treasury to support the transfer of funds, utilizing treasury software to manage and execute daily funding transactions. Verifies cash availability and supports issue resolution related to funding timing or discrepancies. Utilizes a Saas platform to monitor the loan origination pipeline and to execute whole-loan sales to investors. Assists with tracking and allocating loans, and coordinating operational steps required to complete the loan sales process. Supports daily loan funding reconciliation activities across the legacy r. Finance lender platform. This includes validating loan-level activity, identifying differences, and partnering with internal teams to research and resolve exceptions. Provides back-up and support for the Lead Analyst with performing periodic accounting close responsibilities in a shared-services environment. Assists with monthly billing activities, including service fee billing preparation and validation. Provides ongoing support for a shared group inbox related to billing, ensuring timely responses and appropriate follow-up. Leverages Excel and Power BI tools to support reconciliations procedures, reporting, and process efficiency. Uses Power Query and related data tools to validate source data, improve repeatable processes, and support operational reporting needs. Participates in continuous improvement efforts by helping document processes, identify manual steps, and support automation or reporting enhancements as r. Finance scales its operations. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Finance or Economics could also be considered 2 -3 years of experience in financial operations, accounting support, loan operations, or a similar role; experience within financial services or banking preferred. Experience working with Excel data tools, including Power Query; familiarity with Power BI for reporting or reconciliation support is strongly preferred. Basic understanding of accounting principles, cash movement, and reconciliation processes within a financial services environment. Comfortable working with transaction-level data, identifying discrepancies, and performing detailed follow-up to ensure accuracy and completeness. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily operational tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with Treasury, and other cross-functional partners. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and an interest in learning process improvement and automation techniques.
