Student Account Services Billing Specialist

The Student Account Services Specialist manages third-party invoicing for student tuition payments while providing excellent customer service to students and community partners. Primary Responsibilities 1) Processing of Veteran’s Affairs and military benefits to include billing and mandated waiver processing 2) VA Tuition Certification 3) Third-Party Payor invoicing and account reconciliation 4) Accurate posting and clearing of ACH and credit card payments 5) Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations 6) Assist students in determining method of payment 7) Provide general customer service to students in person and via phone and email Qualifications Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered. Skills:- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer population.- Perform mathematical functions, bookkeeping, accounting and record keeping with accuracy and close attention to detail.- Ability to learn computer software and reporting tools.- Demonstrate excellent organization and analytical skills. Preferred Experience:- Experience in customer service required.- Knowledge of VA and Military systems preferred.
